WIND BLADE MASTER PLUG
Gurit currently operates two of Asia’s largest 5-axis CNC machines, 24 hours per day allowing Gurit to build master plugs with extreme accuracy and speed, not comparable to other methods.
These machines allow for plugs up to 65m in length to be produced in one piece. This level of speed and precision allows for fast production of master plugs while insuring that all components, shear webs, spar caps and root inserts fit every time and costly adjustments or use of fillers are not required.

- Exclusive all-steel construction guarantees long life and moisture resistance
- Section accuracy +/-0.5mm
- Linear runout +/-0.5mm
- Overbite tolerance at leading edge of blade mould achieved <+/-1mm
- Epoxy machining paste with Tg of 60°-65°C is used
- Tg of epoxy paste is verified by in-house DSC machine
- Alternatively, EPS foam base is suitable for small plugs and moulds
- Solid frame, suitable for international shipping and easy lifting
- Perfectly smooth finish to insure excellent mould surface is obtained
- Guarantee a glossy polished finish in the as-delivered condition
- Tested to guarantee no vacuum leaking, suited for resin infusion of the mould
- Special weatherproof surface protection coating for shipment
- Gurit plugs have been used in 14 blade moulds without any major repair or loss of accuracy
