SP Exhibit at METS 2007

SP the marine business of Gurit, worldwide producer of high end composite materials, will be exhibiting its marine technology products and services at the METS 2007 marine equipment trade show in Amsterdam from 13th-15th November.

There will be a particular focus on SP’s range of products specifically developed for high volume boat builders. SP’s Production Boat builders Package aims to increase part quality and durability whilst streamlining processes to improve productivity and reduce costs.

The package comprises of:

Structural Engineering - a crucial service when switching from polyester to epoxy construction in a production environment. SP provides engineering support throughout the entire build process.
Tooling Paste products –SP’s range of tooling pastes allow customers to manufacture patterns and direct moulds with greater design freedom and accuracy.
APS Range of Ambient Curing Epoxy Wet laminating and Infusion products – a new technology that allows production boat builders to use existing polyester gelcoats with higher performance SP epoxy resins. Benefits include longer lasting parts, better aesthetic finish, reduced production processes and improved secondary bonding.
Corecell™ - structural foam that provides the stiffness that laminates require without unnecessary weight. The Corecell™ range is fully compatible with polyester, vinylester, epoxy resins and is commonly used in epoxy prepreg systems.
ST70 SPRINT® - a selection of structural laminating products that are part of the patented SPRINT® range. This system reduces cure temperatures to an impressive 70°C and is ideal for use in the high volume manufacture of hulls, decks and bulkheads.
Spabond 540PB – a high performance modified epoxy adhesive designed for bonding large production boats. SP’s new range of adapted epoxy adhesives formulated to bond polyester in addition to epoxy laminates are easy to use, have a range of working times and consistently provide a high strength and durable bond to a variety of substrates in the production environment.
